Overview

Duncan is a birdy, brainy, and beautifully made male with abundant enthusiasm, affection, and an exceptional eagerness to please. As both an AKC Conformation Champion and Master Hunter, he stands among the Labrador Retriever Club’s Labradors of Distinction — a rare dual‑purpose dog excelling in both the field and the show ring.

His pedigree is over 80% Champion and performance‑titled dogs, and he is clear of all testable inherited diseases, making him a structurally and genetically sound choice for programs focused on type, temperament, and working ability.

Major Titles & Accomplishments

Conformation

• AKC Champion (CH) Correct English type, balanced structure, and clean movement.

Field & Hunting

• Master Hunter (MH) Demonstrates advanced marking ability, trainability, and steadiness (Duncan also achieved JH and SH, which are unlisted by convention)

• WCA Working Certificate Advanced (Duncan has also achieved WC, which is bestowed by the parent organization  Labrador Retriever Club Inc)

Performance

• BCAT – Fast CAT title (150+ points)

• DJ – Dock Junior (dock titles are acquired by points, so more junior titles are listed by convention alongside the advanced titles earned. This was a puppy title for Duncan, earned right after he approved to swim in the competition pool.)

• DSX – Dock Senior Excellent (implicit in this title is the DS and DSA earned on the way)

• FTA – AKC Fetch Advanced (this is a “fun title” earned after Fetch Novice, Fetch Intermediate, and only did this because my club hosts these events as fundraisers for all breed events. Same is true for Fast CAT: “fun title” event for all breeds)

Duncan’s versatility across field, speed, and dock events highlights his athleticism, drive, and joyful working style.
